This month Oklahoma Women in Technology is excited to have our OKWIT Co-Founder & President in T-Town as our speaker, where she’ll not only share the story of OKWIT and the vision for where we’re headed, but also her personal background and what drives her to support and advocate for women in tech. Her story is compelling, inspirational and motivating all at once. But what you’ll be amazed by, is how much of yourself you will see in her. Brandy Semore currently serves as Director of Technical Services & Operations for Pinnacle Business Systems where she is responsible for managing Pinnacle’s Engineering Team and Technical Services, the Project Management Office (PMO), as well as the Sales Support Team. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and now has over fifteen years of management experience in the IT field with a strong grounding in the internet, data center operations, and business management strategies. In addition, she also holds an MBA from Oklahoma City University and is PMP certified with the Project Management Institute.
Brandy is dedicated to coaching others in managing successful projects, regardless of one’s background or training, as seen from her blog articles Project Success: Six Factors. She is also an advocate for equal pay and equal opportunity for women working in technology as she serves as President for Oklahoma Women in Technology (OKWIT), which she co-founded in March 2016. Since its inception, OKWIT has attained over 700 members statewide.
