MATHCOUNTS is a national math enrichment, coaching & competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievements in every U.S. state and territory.  TEF and member societies support the Oklahoma Engineering Foundation and OSPE in offering MATHCOUNTS in northeast Oklahoma.

MATHCOUNTS Heads to The Nation’s Capital

 The 2011 Raytheon MATHCOUNTS National Competition will be May 5–8 in Washington, D.C., and you can catch some of the action online.

On Friday, May 6, at 3 p.m. EDT, MATHCOUNTS will show a live  Webcast of the Countdown Round at www.mathcounts.org. You will be able to play along withthe contestants during the round; each problem will be displayed on screen so everyone can participate! You’ll also be able to access the Webcast later if you can’t watch it live.

The national competitive math program helps create enthusiasm for and enhance achievement in math among middle school students. NSPE is a founding sponsor of MATHCOUNTS, and the majority of the volunteers who make MATHCOUNTS possible are NSPE members.

2011 East Central Region (Tulsa) MATHCOUNTS - 28^thAnniversary of MATHCOUNTS held on Feb. 25, 2011 at the University of Tulsa. The Tulsa Region has been involved since the beginning of the MATHCOUNTS Program.  16 teams with 103 students from the 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade competed for individual awards, team awards and the opportunity to advance to the State of Oklahoma competition in March 2011 in Oklahoma City.

East Central Regional Competition was held on February 20, 2010 at the Allen Chapman Student Activity Center, The University of Tulsa.
