Speaker:         David Williams, PhD, PE, CFM – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Topic:              May 2019 Flood Recap

Dr. David Williams is Chief, Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineering Section, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE Tulsa District), where he oversees real-time flood forecasting, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, and floodplain management services.  He has worked for USACE since 2007.  Dr. Williams holds his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa and has completed graduate degrees at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University.  In addition to his full-time position with USACE, he is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University, where he regularly teaches a course in fluid mechanics.  Dr. Williams is in his second term as a member (and immediate past chair) of the City of Tulsa Stormwater Drainage and Hazard Mitigation Advisory Board.

The building is between 5th and 6th Streets on South Boulder Ave.  Enter off of 6th Street on the South side of the building.  Parking is available in the garage at the Summit building parking 515 S. Boulder just East of the ONEOK building.  Additional surface metered spots are available on the street.
