What to pack: Sleeping bag, pillow, water bottle, comfortable hiking shoes, camp chair, overnight bag w/ toiletries, extra pair of socks, hat with brim, flashlight.
Optional to pack: Fishing gear, water shoes, sunscreen/bug spray, swimming “toys” like floating mats, rain jacket (if needed), camp mattress, favorite beverage (any adult beverages should be consumed in moderation)
SWE will provide: Food, campfire, and 5 small tents. If you don’t own a sleeping bag or camp chair, email Suzanne.Dodson@magellanlp.com about borrowing.
Details: We’ll get started at 3:30 PM on Saturday, June 1st. We’ll set up our tents, then spend a couple hours hiking, fishing, swimming, or engaging in whatever outdoor activities that our members enjoy. We’ll return to camp, build our campfire, and cook dinner over the campfire. Evening will involve S’mores, campfire conversation (maybe a song or two), and stargazing. Sunday morning we’ll spend a little more time around a campfire, cook a hearty breakfast, and take a morning hike. We’ll end our campout by 11:00 AM.

Tentative Dinner: Zuchini & Ravioli campfire packets (zucchini, tomatoes, onions & cheese ravioli tossed with Italian dressing, cooked over campfire)
Snacks: evening S’mores, granola bars
Tentative Breakfast: DIY omelets in a bag/breakfast burritos.
