SWE: Oil History & Architecture Walking Tour

SWE is hosting a member appreciation event and has booked a tour with the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture.  Members are free; non-members are $15.  Limited spots are available.  More information at http://tulsaneo.swe.org

This June SWE is holding an event free for members to show our appreciation for your support of Tulsa SWE! All payed SWE members will be able to attend the tour for free, all other guests will pay $15. Join Tulsa Foundation for Architecture as we go on an exploration of downtown’s storied architectural heritage! We’re featuring Oil Barons & Architecture: The Men Who Built Tulsa. You’ll see the beautiful buildings our oil barons constructed in the teens and twenties, up through midcentury modern. Tulsans built with the finest materials, in the latest styles – as testaments to their success, and to let the rest of the world know that our young city had arrived! This tour for the Society of Women Engineers leaves from the historic Mayo Hotel. It’s an easy walking tour, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. The tour happens rain or shine! Kids tour for free, as always.
