ASME: Water Cycle Stability – The Sahara Desertification and Cure

Speaker: Dr. Hong-Quan Zhang

Hong-Quan Zhang, author of book “Revive Eden – Green Sahara Now”, has a PhD in Fluid Mechanics, an MS and a BS in Thermal Energy Engineering. He joined the University of Tulsa in 1998 and is currently Williams Endowed Chair Professor of Petroleum Engineering and Director of the Tulsa University Artificial Lift Projects (TUALP). He has published more than 50 refereed papers and made more than 100 presentations at various technical meetings and forums. In 1993 and 1994, as an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow, he conducted researches at the Max Planck Institute of Fluid Mechanics and the German Aerospace Research Establishment in Göttingen, Germany.
