NEOK ASHRAE: State Senators Leewright & Radar

Our first meeting of the new decade for ASHRAE NEOK is next Wednesday, January 15, 11:30a. We are honored to welcome two State Senators, James Leewright and Dave Rader. They co-authored the Oklahoma Energy Independence Act (Senate Bill 1000) which created the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) Program. The basis of the program is to allow individuals and corporations to fund energy-efficient property improvements through property taxes.
Both gentlemen were elected to the State Senate in 2016, and diligently worked to prepare and present the bill which was signed into legislation in May 2019.
Senator Leewright has a BS from OSU, an MBA from Oklahoma City University and was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2014. As a senator, he represents District 12.
Senator Rader has a BSME from the University of Tulsa, served as starting quarterback for the Golden Hurricane for two years, played for the NY Giants and coached at the University of Alabama and Ole Miss. He represents District 39.
