SWE “STEM in a Bag” build session

Tulsa NEOK – Society of Women Engineers – Saturday, August 14th, 9 am – 12 noon.
You are invited to a “STEM in a Bag” build session.
WHY: The Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance (TRSA) needs several thousand “STEM in a Bag” activities for distribution at the Flight Night Back to School STEM Expo (virtual) in September.
WHAT: TRSA provides all the materials. We will bag the materials with instructions sheets in English and Spanish in plastic bags for distribution to Tulsa area youth. Goal is to build 5,000 of each type.
Activities include: Pipeline Challenge, Straw Rocket Challenge, Cryptography, Agriculture in Action: Seed ID, Healthcare Highlight: Stethoscope Challenge
WHO: SWE is hosting an assemble “STEM in a Bag” session. All are welcome. Bring a friend. Youth will earn volunteer hours. If you can’t stay, you could take materials home and work on them.
WHERE: 6910 E 99th Place, Tulsa, OK 74133 (Barbara Wollmershauser’s house)
DATE: Saturday, August 14, 2021
TIME: 9 am – 12 noon (stay however long you can or drop in)
